Editor's Note
In this piece of work, I used Microsoft Word. This work was part of the Magazine Project we completed in teams. I was the Writer and Editor.
Editor’s Note:
This is just to say a big thank you to all our faithful audience who have stuck by to witness the amazing 14th issue of WDK Sports. This is also to say a big thank you to Lauren Mayne: Graphic Designer and Firdowsa Jama: Page Layout Artist. This magazine wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for their desire for perfection to make this the very best Sports and Leisure magazine available for 13-16 year olds.
Many Thanks,
Khadijat Oyeleye

Horrible Histories Proposal
This is my first ever Media proposal. To produce it I used an already existing TV show as a template (Horrible Histories) and pretended that this show never existed; instead, I was the one creating it and proposing this idea. The font I used was Courier New: traditional proposal writing font. This is my work below:

To approach history which is normally seen as boring with a fun yet interesting approach that will appeal to the younger generation.
To approach history which is normally seen as boring with a fun yet interesting approach that will appeal to the younger generation.
Content:
- Songs sung by historical figures such as Cleopatra and Henry the 8th which teach about different aspects of history in a fun and interesting way.
- Stupid deaths feature: short explanations of ‘stupid’ deaths that happened to historical figures.
- Different themes in every episode
- A puppet presenter (Rattus Rattus- a rat)
- Historical Wife Swap- An entertaining short documentary feature which is a twist on modern wife swap.
- Same opening sequence in form of a catchy song.
- Short animated openings to each section of history e.g. the ‘Measly Middle Ages’.
- Same actors/actresses but dressed differently every time.
- Same closing sequence in form of a catchy song.
Target Audience:
Girls and boys aged between 8 and 14. They should enjoy history, love comedy, and enjoy the gruesomeness or all three. They should like songs and entertainment and just generally having a good time. They should also love finding out new things and they should have an open mind.
Horror Movie
To make this video I used Adobe Premiere. I imported video and sound files and I used the in and out points to select which parts of the clip I thought were relevant to my end project. I also used visual effects like lightning to make it seem scarier and more real. I used some sound and visual effects to allow smooth transition between clips and audio. I also used more than 3 audio files to make it more interesting. Overall, I am very proud of my work.

Get the Look
This piece of work is a work in progress and I used Photoshop to create it. I used Masking and I duplicated the layer of an image and filled it with a different colour to create a shadow effect. I used shapes to draw the target audience (young women) in more because the shapes I used were hearts which appeal more to feminine girls/young women. At the moment I only have two dresses and a few accessories to go with these dresses so girls/young women who prefer the 'dressy look'.
This is the improvement of the work above:
